The PlayStation
This commercial project was one of the biggest film projects I've done. As I rewatched my commercial I saw many mistakes I would like to improve. As the speed of the commercial is too quick. I suspected it to be because the max amount of time was thirty seconds. If I were to make another commercial with a longer time limit I would be able to slow it down to regular speed. I could also be able to add more clips to be able to show off and explain more about the product to the watchers. My main goal in my commercial is to give a friendly atmosphere and give the watchers a motive to want to get a PlayStation. My production skills have greatly evolved since beginning this project. I know that I should have a more detailed plan for a film before putting it together. Starting with gain a better understanding by doing the research on the subject, and plan on what I should be doing in the commercial and my main goals about it. Then write a storyboard to show what I would like the final commercial to look like. Finally, the filming and editing to make sure I got the main goal across and to make sure it's visually appealing.
Nevertheless, this project allowed me to see my progress from my first film projects to this one. I can see the improvements. As those projects only had one angle, terrible quality, choppy clips, and was very plain and bleak. Comparing that to this commercial which I had some different people look at and comment on what they like about it and what I could have done better, I could say that this is by far my own greatest film. The critics also said next time I should slow it down, make all the films horizontal, and need more clips to explain why would they want to buy it. On the other hand, They complimented the transitions and music choices. Saying the transitions made it look less choppy, and helped the commercial flow smoothly just as regular commercials should. They also said the choice of the song gave them a little bit of excitement as they know the song and it helped grabbed their attention all the way through.
