Gathering the clips

 I began filming on 10/27/20. On the 27th I brainstormed how I would manage to get everything I would need to complete my storyboard. Realizing that this is going to be a lot more difficult than I first believe gathering all the different videos and editing them together. On the 28th I began by searching and asking around to see if anyone had the PlayStation Pro or Slim. I have found some people that have a PlayStation pro and slim. To my luck, they all seem to be busy that day so I'm going to have to wait until tomorrow. 10/29/20 I am going back searching for people to send me videos of their PlayStation. To much prevail one of my friends finally sent me a picture of her PlayStation Slim. I save the video to my phone to save for later and searched around like for a pro. On October 30, 2020, I began to look around for clips of people having fun playing the game. I also manage to get the PlayStation Pro clip from an old friend now I can begin editing them together.

Filming Gaming clips

On the 30th I began filming clips of people having fun while playing the PlayStation to show how entertaining it is. Filming the people who play the system talking and having fun. Filming the type of games you could get for all ages. I want the actors to show some excitement having a lot of fun while playing the system. Laughing and talking just them having fun in general.

 When we were looking through our footage we realized that some of our outside scenes were a bit grey. All the clouds were blocking out the sunlight which caused us to try and use different filters to try and add more colors to the scene rather than letting it look bland and greyish. Another problem we saw/heard when we replayed our footage was the wind. The wind was blowing quite hard, hard enough that we could barely hear the actors speak. We had to reshoot those scenes because the other scenes became unusable. The cameraman had to film on the opposite side of where the wind was blowing to try and block out as much wind as possible. Another problem we faced was the cars and people. We were filming at a park so a lot of people were, so we tried to talk as loudly as possible to try and drown them out. Genre research Drama

  In this powerpoint, we were assigned to research a specific genre and analyze the specific conventions and to recognize what makes this genre different than others. To begin, in the drama genre, the different types of lighting used where low key lighting and high key lighting, usually to show the mood in the scene. Common angles included, but were not limited too, low angles, with common movement being reverse zoom, and tracking. Conventionally, costumes depended on the setting. While a drama filmed in the colonial period would likely depict women with dresses while a more modern drama would likely depict women with jeans and a tee. Genre Discussion

 For the past couple of days, my partner and I have been discussing what genre should we do. We couldn't choose right away at first because we had to discuss the pros and the cons of each genre. We had to choose out of thriller, drama, and action. (3) The first genre we had was the drama genre. The drama has  stories with high stakes and a lot of conflicts. They're plot-driven and demand that every character and scene move the story forward. We  both worked on this genre when we had the genre project, so we both had some knowledge about it. The pros of this genre are that we had the basics of it down, so the research could be kept to a minimum. This genre best fits the pitch that we choose in our earlier discussion. The cons of this genre are that some of the common things found in drama we might not be able to recreate. Things like costumes or have makeup.
